The folks at WTS have used and tested them all extensively although we can not guarantee how they will work on your individual system configuration. Ad-Aware from Lavasoft
Ad-Aware Personal provides advanced protection from known data-mining, aggressive advertising, Trojans, dialers, malware, browser hijackers, and tracking components. This software is downloadable free of charge.
WTS Note - Excellent tool for stopping spyware but the interface could use a little help in the area of intuitiveness.

Microsoft Defender
Windows Defender (Beta 2) is a free program that helps protect your computer against pop-ups, slow performance, and security threats caused by spyware and other unwanted software. It features Real-Time Protection, a monitoring system that recommends actions against spyware when it's detected, and a new streamlined interface that minimizes interruptions and helps you stay productive.
WTS Note - We don;t knowif this will still be free after the final release comes out but for now it is and it's worth it.

Google Toolbar with Popup Blocker

• Check your spelling in webmail messages

Google Earth
Google Earth puts a planet's worth of imagery and other geographic information right on your desktop. View exotic locales like Maui and Paris as well as points of interest such as local restaurants, hospitals, schools, and more.
WTS Note - This is an excellent program. It's hard to believe it's free. Just be warned, this is a BROADBAND tool. Don't try to use it with dial-up internet service.
